What goes through our heads when we look up to the sky?
-In the Alley explores Southern tornado culture and overlooked facets of surviving storms throughout “Dixie Alley” in Alabama and across the South. The podcast and photo book examines the unusual celebrity of amateur storm chasers, the thriving market of personal shelters, the way tornadoes spill into Southern culture, and the people and communities that unwillingly become victims every year. Told through surreal soundscapes and squall lines moments before, during and after the brief seconds when dark grey clouds touch the ground.
